Hello blogger friends!
It's the beginning of a new month and it's time for the Scrapping Everyday Miracles main challenge.
"This month's challenge is to scrap about where you feel most at home."
"And the Scrap Twist is to use a tag or journal block to include the details. A picture tells a thousand words, but sometimes there are details the picture can't tell. Share your story of home with us. Where do you call home? How does it make you feel?"
Whether I am in a different country, deep into the wilderness or even at an airport (like I am now!) as long as I am with people I love I feel at home. Although I feel very comfortable in my house, I am also very content wherever God places me. I remember the second time I set foot on Haitian soil. Most people were assaulted by the smell of burning trash and coal. For me it was the smell of home. When I leave Haiti, part of my heart stays there. Home truly is where my heart is and not where my house is.
For my journal page I used sheets of sticker tags from The Crafter's Workshop. The whole background and house is made from them!
I hope you will join us for this month's challenge. Don't forget to link up at Scrapping Everyday Miracles

I love how you used the tags for the door and the windows. Your project made me smile and made my day. Thanks Marjolaine! Karen :)
ReplyDeleteI love how you used tags! My son visited Haiti on a mission trip this summer and is absolutely going back! Great post and project!
ReplyDeleteSo creative and colorful!
ReplyDeleteHi Marjolaine! I LOVE this project - and it really does give me that warm feeling of home. I was SO blesed to find the challenges at SEM, and enjoyed playing along. I fully intend to enter again this month, but I do have a question. I never saw the winner from last month (sharing a sad moment). Unfortunately, my "sad moment" is lasting longer than just a "moment", but she is getting over it slowly. I just wondered if I was somehow missing seeing the challenge winner. You can stop by my blog or whatever to let me know. I'd really appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteI also hope you will stop back by Word Art Wednesday soon to pkay along with us. Any of your sweet projects would be perfect for our challenges, and I always LOVE seeing your creative art. Hope you're blessed and doing well.
Keep in touch!
Karen
