Something Else to Use Scrapbooking Paper On

My hubby and I are going to a masquerade ball this week-end and of course I could not keep things simple. Instead of buying masks I decided to make them myself...from scratch! The plaster part was not too bad, I used plaster cloth and except for shaping the eyes it wasn't too difficult. Hubby did not like the Vaseline I had to use to  cover his face with but I thought it was great fun!  I had planned to paint them which would of been the easier thing to do but then I found  scrapbooking paper that matched my dress perfectly! Mod Podging the paper to the mask was not a pleasant experience for me! Our masks have some wrinkles and they are a bit lumpy but all in all I am pleased with the end product. (even if I find masks a little creepy!) Now all I have to do is add the little stick for us to hold it in place!

  2. Hey Kristal, I think we are meant to be bloggie friends! A few days ago I found you on you tube for an alcohol ink and metal tutorial...the next day I "happened" to end up on your blog while looking for something else and it "happened" to be perfect timing for the faithbooking hop which I'm totally getting into!
