You are free painting

I've never really done this before but I have to say that I loved it...a lot! I just added layers upon layers of paint until I was happy with the background. I also used paper, stamps, markers and rub-ons, and that's about it!
The bird in the cage represents the person who has been set free from bondage but chooses to stay in his/her prison.
The bird on the cage is like a person who has been set free but is useless to building God's kingdom because he/she is too afraid to step out.
The bird on the ground is free but is not doing what God has called him/her to do because he/she is being influenced by his/her friends and choosing to stay close to the prison where life is not what it was meant to be.

The birds were blue but I just had to make them red. As I was changing  their colour I was reminded that it is only through the blood of Jesus that we are truly free. Have you been set free? Delivered from bondage? It's time to fly! He who the son set free is free indeed, John 8:36        The  flowers on the cage represent the "comfort" we sometimes feel while living inside (or close to) our prisons.  Sometimes we like to "pretty up" our prison to make it more acceptable but the truth is it's still an ugly prison. Have you been set free? Then don't be like the Israelites who whined and complained about their freedom and wanted to go back to Egypt where they had been slaves. They took their freedom for granted. Are you taking your spiritual freedom for granted?

The flying bird of course is totally free, this one is living the life that he/she was created to.  The bird has in it's beak the key to freedom which is truth. (you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. John 8:32) And the truth is Jesus. (He is the way, the truth and the life. John 14:6) This bird is bringing the key to his friends so that they can be free  and live life abundantly. ( Jesus came so that you may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10)

Are you free to fly or do you have heavy shackles weighing you down?

  2. WOW...what a beautiful project! And what a wonderful message! What a tremendous reminder that we already have all that we need. Our freedom in Yeshua! I am so grateful for His love and guidance. I love to see how amazingly He inspires His children! Thank you Marjolaine for sharing! Many blessings to you!
