Now that my travel adventures are over I can finally sit down and tell you all about it. My trip to Anaheim, California all started last Friday with school bus cancellations due to freezing rain...I knew that meant trouble for me! I spent the day at the airport with one flight cancellation after another and numerous delays. My goal was to make it to the Ranger class the next morning at eight. It was a miracle that I got into that class in the first place and I didn't want to lose my spot. (last CHA, I was number 174 on the waiting list for Tim Holtz's class!) I finally made it to Anaheim and crawled into bed at 3:30AM my time...after being up for 22 hours! I slept for a few hours and then headed over to the convention centre so I could be first in line for the class. I'll post more on that class later. I thought going home would be a breeze but I missed my connection in Toronto so I had to stay there overnight, and they lost my luggage...with all my CHA goodies inside! I'm happy to say that my luggage and I finally made it home in one piece!
Here are some of my highlights:
Me with
Christy Tomlinson!!! She is my favourite and is so kind and sweet! She was a pleasure to talk to even if it was only for a few minutes. Her new lines with Pink Paisley and Unity are simply fabulous! Really can't wait to get my hands on those amazing products.
This is
Dyan Reaveley! She is such a hoot! She is on the Ranger team and has come out with "can't do without" stamps, stencils and sprays. I'm so glad I got to take a bunch home. If you're thinking that the last thing we need is another spray ink, think again! Hers are really great to work with and the colours are a nice change from what is already on the market.
Donna Downey!!! She is truly an inspiration to me. I went to her class early and got to chat for a little bit. She is a lot of fun and is one of the reasons why I am becoming who I want to be!
And of course, the Ranger class was a major highlight! More on that later!
Me enjoying a mixed media male-n-take at the DecoArt booth.
The short but lovely walk to the convention centre.
One side of the convention centre, I don't know which one!
