Praierie Papier Cottage Design Team Post

Hi fellow bloggers. This is my first official design team post for Praierie Papier Cottage. Although these are digital journal pages I wanted to show you that you don't have to be a digital artist to enjoy them! All the collections are available as JPEGs and PDFs, so they're ready to be printed out by you!
You can easily start an art journal just by printing the pages or you can use the different elements on any projects including scrapbooking.

Since it was the month of July, I choose the Patriotic collection but since I am not American I decided to craft with the idea of freedom in mind. I created a box with my favourite freedom bible verses in it. I started out with a Christmas box and covered it with the printed collection of papers. (I had added text to them in photoshop) I then added ribbon and the star eyelets that I glued in place.  I had some chipboard stars as well and thought they finished it off quite nicely.

I had added four verses per page (on photoshop) making sure that I could cut them into 4x4 inch squares. I glued them to cardstock to make them sturdy and covered them with Mod Podge  for durability. They fit nicely in the box.  I added star eyelet to the cards with a little raffia and I was done!

If you would like to see more of Anita's collections, you can see them at Just B Yourself on Etsy. You can also have a chance to win  the collection by commenting on this post before August 1st, 2012
