Use It Tuesday Challenge #39

Hello blogger friends!

Are you ready to Use It Tuesday??? I know I am! This week is particularly easy.  The challenge is "anything goes" and I know you have a large stash to use up so start digging and find that special something that you have been hoarding forever and USE IT!!!

For this Anything Goes challenge I picked a card kit that I had been hoarding holding onto since 2009!
I thought I loved it when I bought it but I later realized that I wasn't crazy about it.

I decided to get creative and cover up the one paper that I didn't like. There's nothing  gesso can't fix!

I started off with one thin layer of gesso. I didn't want to cover up, I just wanted to tone it down. Once that dried I used a stencil and spray ink for added texture. To finish it I randomly stamped all over the paper.
.

It's hard to see on the photos but 5 of the cards have  an acrylic shape on it, I made sure to use most of the kit so I wouldn't have too many left-overs.

And there you have it! I've got one less kit in my stash making me feel guilty for buying and not using!

I sure hope you are inspired to use some of your hoarded items. I would love to see what you come up with so be sure to link it up at Use It Tuesday

  1. I love everything! It's so pretty and elegant. Such a great idea to use gesso to change up paper that you don't like as much. Thanks for sharing the technique, Marjolaine :)

  4. Just did the same thing on another project, but I used the card kit on a layout. Doesn't it feel good to use up those kits?
