So on to my project...
Here's how I made it:
Using the Cricut and the Forever Young Cartridge, I cut out the vintage purse as big as I could on a 12x24 mat. I assembled it and
covered it with ruffle trim. It's holding together with Helmar 450 glue. After measuring the inside, I
created an album that would fit perfectly, using sheets of chipboard from Grafix .
I covered each page with sheets from an old pattern and then applied
paint to the edges and other areas. I finished the album by adding
old photos and embellishing the pages with a variety of left-overs
from my stash. (K and Company die cut flowers, One pair of pearl earrings, Tim Holtz Idea-ology papery tissue tape-Nostalgic, Tickets: 7 Gypsies, Craft flowers and buttons: Graphic 45) The book is held together with two pieces of the ruffle trim, I used a Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes.
I love ruffle purses and would love to make myself one but I don't sew. Maybe I could glue one together?
I love to hear from you, please comment and let me know what you think!
Love this so so much. I may have to borrow the idea!
