CHA Designer Retreat Part Three

Hello blogger friends, here's another post to brag a little more about CHA and the wonderful retreat they had for designers, educators and creative professionals. Today I want to feature the Powertex workshop taught by Brigette Thompson.

In a short period of time we learned all about textile hardener and how to use it. Brigitte was well prepared and had a variety of supplies on hand to use on our art piece. We used everything from lace to fabric to grandmas doilies which makes me really happy because I collect all of that!
The classroom was well protected with tarps and plastic table cloths, we were covered with a full size apron and gloves. Textile hardener is a messy business!

Here I'm hard at work trying not to get too messy, I should of brought my "work" cloths!
This is a fabulous product that I can't wait to play with some more. I have so many ideas floating in my head!

Brigette had a really full class and did an amazing job at teaching us. It also helped that she is a lot of fun to be around!

I'm pleased with my piece and will be adding some mixed media to it soon.

Thank you again CHA and Powertex (Brigitte) for putting this on, it was fabulous!
