Why Waste Wednesday

Hello friends, I'm back with another layout using only scraps and/or old product.  I sure hope some of you are joining me in this challenge. It has been so awesome to use up what I already have instead of buying more and then ending up with more left-overs. It's not that I only use my stash but doing it even once a week has been beneficial. I've been working hard at organizing my creative space and having less has definitely been helpful. I did this layout for the sketch challenge over at ScrapFit, it was a good one to use scraps on.

Since I had my Haiti photos out from the other day I decided to use some of them again. I just love these children and miss them so much! For the background I used a piece of cardstock that has been around for many years! I didn't love the colour so I added a little orange marmalade distress ink over a crafters workshop stencil to change it up a bit. The scraps are from two different TLC kits , the black border and journal page at the top are from Bisous. Speaking of Bisous, they have kits called Pretty Darn Quick, with it you can finish an album in just a few hours. I'm thinking of bringing some of them to my store. If you love artistic scrapbooking but don't always want to put the time and effort in it then this is for you! I've done two albums plus one mini album with those kits and I absolutely love them.
I have to admit that these flower might not be old so perhaps I cheated on my own challenge! Every year I participate in swaps and these may or may not be from last month! That's OK, the colours were right and who knows how long I would of stashed them if I hadn't used them for today!

That's it for now. Go ahead and use your stash and then be sure to tell me about it. It doesn't have to be scrapbooking. There might be something in your fridge that needs to be used up and you could make a special recipe with it. Be creative, it's fun!!!

  1. Great idea. I have Corn meal in the cupboard that is specially ground to make tortillas. I bought it last year and never used it. I am going to dig it out and make home made tortillas for supper.
Today I am finishing a project I started in a class 2 years ago and never finished. It will be good to move it from a bag on the floor to my new shelves up on the wall. Thanks for the inspiration

    1. Susan, I'll be there in 20 minutes! Any chance you're making homemade salsa to go with those tortillas? I'm so glad you're getting a project off the floor and onto the wall. Trust me, it will feel amazing!
