Word Art

Hello bloggers, I'm back for another week of Word Art Wednesday. I am so happy about this page. I'm in love with art journaling but was feeling quite frustrated at my lack of abilities. I want to do it so bad that I just keep practicing....and I think maybe it's starting to pay off. Either I'm getting better at this thing or I have lowered my expectations but either way  I LOVE THIS PAGE!!! There's been only one other page that I liked ...a lot, (never-give-up) but this one I love. So there is hope for me and art journaling after all! Never never never give up!!!

So I started with this really cool technique where you use masking tape to create a pattern and then remove it after you have added some colour. I used Dylusion Spray Ink in London Blue and Lime. The next step was to pull off the tape but my masking tape was super sticky and was ripping up the page so I had to leave it on. I wasn't too sad about it since it added some nice texture.

This week's Word Art are the beautiful words of Mother Theresa.

What do you think of my heart? I cut out a flip-flop to make this really cute stamp. I love the design from the bottom of the shoe and I'll be using it again and again. Thank you to Christy Tomlinson for teaching me this fun little technique!

These images are from Free Vintage Digi Stamps, one of my new favourite blog!

That's it for today, what's your art journaling journey been like?

  3. You have every right to love this page, Marjolaine, because it is gorgeous! I was able to click on your images and view full size, so was able to see all the detail. Love it even more. I agree that your masking tape adds texture, but also dimension as it soaked up the colors you used. I especially love how it looks over the heart--which, in itself, is beautiful. The page is a big winner in my book...ok, in you book! ;-)
