Hello blogger friends!
Are you free to dance? I have to admit that although I love to dance, it's not something that I want to be seen doing! I still care too much about what others are thinking of me but one day I will be free in this area as well! Freedom is a journey that I am embracing with my whole heart!
Now on to this journal page...
I have an old book that I like to use for a journal. Some of the pages have pictures on them and I don't like to cover them all up so here are the steps to keeping parts of the page.
Step One: Use a paint brush to apply one or two layers of Matte Medium to the images that you wish to keep.
Step Two: Paint the rest of the surface with Gesso. I love the DecoArt Gesso, it's so smooth and creamy, it looks almost good enough to eat! Actually, I love all the products that I used on this page. DecoArt was very generous in giving me this new line so I could try it out.
Step Four: Use a wet wipe to remove any Gesso that might have gotten on the images covered in Matte Medium. Dry the page if needed.
Step Five: Experiment with the paint, see what colors you can come up with!
Step Six: Paint around your protected images with a variety of colors. Dry the page in between colors if you wish to keep them seperate.
Step Seven: Use some watered down paint to add drips and splatters to your page.
Step Eight: Add some Gesso here and there to add beautiful texture.
Step Nine: Use Matte Medium to adhere some words.
How about you, are you free to dance? What is one thing you could do today to start becoming free? Paint? Sing? Cook? Get on an airplane?
Go for it, you won't regret it!
Love it! ! glad you are enjoying the Media Products Marjolaine :)
