Faux Embossing with Tissue Paper (CHA part3)

Grow Where You're Panted

While at CHA I took this really fun class to learn how to faux emboss with tissue paper. The class was thought by Kathy Cano-Murillo from craftychica.com  I went to class totally unprepared and with no supplies but managed to make do and have a great time.

The idea was to doodle the background but since I don't much like my doodling   I decided to stamp it instead...

I have learned that in whatever situation I am to be content Philippians 4:11
All around the canvas I wrote the verse that inspired this piece and title... "I have learned that in whatever situation I am to be content" Philippians 4:11  With it being summer and having four kids around all day I often have to remind myself to be content (and joyful) in where God has placed me! Yes there is so much out there that I would love to be doing but right now, being a wife and mother is my number one priority... and I want to be the best that I can be for them. I will allow God to "grow me" where I am at in this stage of my life.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

The love canvas was made in class, I had to rip another project apart to have a canvas and I cut up some foam to make letters since I didn't have any chipboard ones like I was suppose too.  The teacher was kind enough to give me some other missing supplies!  Here is Kathy's tutorial for faux embossing with tissue paper

My daughter Allison made one too, I kinda thought hers was better than mine and she's 10!
